I had the opportunity to travel to Uganda in April of 2016. I wasn't sure what I was getting myself but, I knew it would be an adventure. I set out to challenge myself with taking photographs that you wouldn't normally see from someones trip to Africa. I found it more challenging than I could imagine and I feel like it was a "photographic failure".

I become complacent with the photos I was taking because they were so interesting. I had scenic vistas, intense wildlife shots and I saw some truly amazing weather and I felt like I was getting great photos. When I had left those places, I found myself kicking myself because I didn't feel comfortable capturing the moments in between these "epic" subjects. I set out to capture the little moments of this trip and I had failed.
